Our story begins with King Fallon, who is mighty and strong, known and celebrated for his knowledge in war. This one time he ordered his soldiers to dress in all blue, banding and waving together like a river. “A new river”, the king's enemy thought. “I'll be the first to drink”. He was the first to drink and just like that, King Fallon is known and celebrated for his knowledge in war.
King Fallon is old in age and dying but he has a son, Prince Ankur. The Prince is naive and joyful. He's with his handmaiden Eva at a park. He's interrupted by other servants telling him he's been summoned to meet with his father, the King.
King Fallon tells Ankur that he is old and dying so the Prince has to get married and take the throne. Ankur wants to marry his handmaiden Eva but the King says no. Ankur is a fool for marrying for love. The king will host a ball tomorrow where Ankur will choose a princess.
Ankur excitedly shares this news with Eva, that his father will host a ball where he'll choose a princess, but Eva started to cry. She puts a curse on him. Out of all loves, Ankur will fall in love the fastest. Ankur is confused as he asks her what does she mean but she continues crying as she runs away.
At the ball, Ankur meets Princess Ayanna and he falls in love with her. He compliments her boots and her military gear. “In my land, we have to stay ready instead of getting ready”, Princess Ayanna says. She does a military move but Ankur doesn't move and so she says “Naw, I don't want him!”.
Next, Ankur meets Princess Emonii and falls in love with her. The way she forms her lips when she's using those big words or the way that the light shines on her when she's thinking. Ankur follows her across the room to the point where all the princesses say in unison, “ Naw, we don't want him”.
As they were all leaving, Ankur spots Princess Amarra through a window and falls in love with her. He runs out of the castle to tell her he'll do anything to win her love. She confesses that she will marry him on one condition. If he gets her name off the list from the Broken Heart Collector. Ankur says no problem, after all he is a prince.
Princess Amarra says Ankur has this curse on him, where he will fall in love the fastest, so she gives him this bag and instructs him that every time he falls in love, she wants him to reach in this bag. In this bag contains everything you need to remember for whom you try.
On his journey to retrieve Princess Amarra's name off the list from the Broken Heart Collector,
Ankur meets Shawnte and he falls in love with her. He loves and compliments her name and if he were ever without, he's without, with his Shawnte. “Actually, I'm Tae Dogg and if you…”, Shawnte says angrily, but that's what Ankur loved about her.
Ankur remembers to reach in the bag that Amarra gave him and out comes the moon and the sun, which reminded him of this one time he was at the Riverfest where everybody was dressed in all blue. In walked his love wearing a yellow dress as bright as the sun. Everyone thought she was crazy, wearing yellow to the Riverfest but Ankur knew for whom he was trying.
He continued on with his journey to get Princess Amarra's name off the list from the Broken Heart Collector when he met Mikeyla, Romell, and Denim. They were ordering food from this tavern, and Ankur fell in love with the way Mikeyla was ordering and told her, “Don't stop, order some more!”. Romell and Denim stole the bag and when they reached into it, out came thunder and lightning. It reminded him of this one time, it was raining in his kingdom and everyone took cover but not his love. In fact she raindanced, and everyone thought she was out of her mind but Ankur knew for whom he was trying.
On Ankur's way to get Amarra's name off the list from the Broken Heart Collector, he receives word that his Father has died and he must return to be King. Upon his return, Amarra is waiting asking if he got her name but he says he must bury his father first, and become King.
Ankur becomes King and his first step is to marry. He tells Amarra that he can't get her name from the Broken Heart Collector because he doesn't love her. Who does he love?
The handmaiden Eva. In a fit of rage, Amarra kills Eva and as punishment, she must go with the Broken Heart Collector. Ankur tells the people, I have this curse, I'm going to fall in love the fastest. It's up to you to remind me for whom I do this for, for whom I try.
