I praise the Lord. Since the last update, I was able to visit Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, and Georgia. I enjoyed each state however, Georgia, specifically Atlanta stood out the most for me. It’s not what I imagined at all. It’s country, with trees everywhere. They drive on one lane roads and everybody has a driveway. It’s definitely interesting. The phrase I learned down there is, “the vibe”. You have to make sure your vibe is right. How a person does that is beyond me, but before we went out or did anything, my cousin had to check our vibes.
In other news, I feel as though I’ve been on a roller coaster of emotions. I swear I was fine until I seen my therapist on the news with a guy who had a stroke, who was disabled on his right side like me. The guy is one of the first patients to have Vivastint in him, but he’s using his right side to brush his teeth, shake people’s hand, build wreaths. I went to the hospital, called my doctor, surgeon, and the therapist. I called the makers of Vivastint, you hear me. Ain’t no way I’m passing up an opportunity like this, to be normal.
After going through a questionnaire, it was determined that I’m not a good fit for the trail. I could have died. There’s two types of strokes. First, there’s an ischemic stroke which means that the walls around your arteries or veins weaken but don’t break. That’s the kind of stroke the guy had and they can do things for them. Second, is a hemorrhagic stroke, and that’s where the walls of the veins or arteries actually bursts. That’s what I had.
Immediately I started crying as the doctor went on further to say that although all the time people are defying the odds, they can’t really do anything for a hemorrhagic stroke. insurance companies won’t cover that. When I first had the stroke, I couldn’t even walk. Now, look at me. I started to cry even more.
I said all of that to say this. I took it to God and I heard Him say, “I got plans for you. It might not be what you want, but it’s right there. It says, Adrian.” I cried even more.
While at the doctor’s office, the doctor said I’m going to have to go on blood pressure medication but I say nay. When I first had my stroke, I was on blood pressure medication but stop taking that two years ago with the doctors blessing. I said something is causing my pressure to rise because I’ve been off it so I agreed to write down my pressures for the next two weeks. Two weeks…

You Ferris wheel
I said
Welcome to the carnival
You main attraction
Nothing like a side show
When I go
To the carnival
I stand in line
To go
Round and round
In the night
On your ride
And flashing lights
They just
Push on and pass by
But with my feet off the ground
I don’t ever ask myself why
Or feel like I fall behind
When I
Close my eyes I find
This little light of mine
And you right there
Just making it shine
Round and round
In the night
On your ride
You Ferris wheel
I said
Welcome to the carnival
You main attraction
Nothing like a side show
When I go
To the carnival
I stand in line
